Haoran Yuan (Renee) is a visual artist and commercial photographer based in Sydney, Australia.

Haoran Yuan (aka Renee) (b.1996, China) is a photographer and visual storyteller whose practice is centred on creating and recording realistic scenes with a focus on narrativity. Her projects dip into the literature of personal recollections, featuring nostalgic and sorrowal from natal environment changes to strengthen the visual narrative ability of the image.

Haoran/Renee’s interest in narrativity [The quality or condition of presenting a narrative], stems from the experience of life-transforming events between China and Australia.

"I am always driving my attention on the montaged and reorganised application of landscape fragments, citing personal expression and psychological & philosophical activities researching as a staple basis. For me, the photography project not only serves as critical points of visual-artistic exploration, it also quests personal value. I search for tiny clues through the projects to reflect on past behaviours, contradictions and ways of thinking, revisit previous issues that I could have ignored, and learn to surely grow up and be relieved. I also sometimes or record the present instantly, composing for future's timeline."
